The details
Features
This model comes feature-packed, which you might not expect because of its size. However, unlike other models on the market, this specific option can support up to four-person multiplayer. This allows you to invite the whole family over for a fun and immersive game as you fight crime as a team of mutant ninja turtles in a crime-ridden New York City.
On top of that, there is a 17’’ color screen. Now, it would have been great if the screen were bigger so that it would be easier for four people to play the game. With its current design, it can be hard for all four players to squeeze in and play the game comfortably.
But since this is a 3/4th scale machine, it’s easy to understand why it was designed with such a small screen. And despite the space problem, all the controllers are fairly high quality and are very responsive when you’re playing the game.
Durability
If you’re worried about someone bumping into the machine and breaking it, that isn’t too much of a concern. While it is a 3/4th model, this machine is pretty heavy, so if someone bumps into it there’s a low chance of it toppling over.
With that said, some people complained that if the screen was left on for too long it started to burn out. So, just like with all electronics, it’s best to unplug this one when it isn’t in use.
Ease of use
There is some assembly that comes with this machine. Even at 3/4th scale, this machine is about 4 feet tall, so it will arrive in parts that you have to assemble.
The assembly itself isn’t that hard, since all you need to do is screw in the parts, but it does require some effort. So, if you plan on installing this machine in your home, you might have to reserve an afternoon for it. While it only takes around an hour to set up, you’ll obviously want to try it out and play right away, so it’s best to have a few extra hours for that purpose.
Value for money
At under $1,000, this model is very affordable. If you look at the full-size options on the market, most of them cost upwards of $1,000, with some options fetching prices as high as $2,500-$3,000!
So, if you’re willing to sacrifice a fair amount of the size for a cheaper option, this model could be just right for you. And while it’s a small machine, it still offers all the functionality you’d expect from a full-size TMNT arcade game!
Final verdict
If you’re a fan of TMNT or classic adventure games, this is a great option for you. With up to four-person multiplayer mode, high-quality materials, and a 17’’ color screen, this machine can have hours of fun not just for you, but for the whole family!
